In an effort to further communicate its commitment to helping individual players rise, Above The Rim has established a premiere youth leadership and development program called the A.T.R. Project (Assisting The Rise). As part of this program, Above The Rim has carefully selected community leaders across the country who work with young, talented basketball players and help them rise above the daily challenges of succeeding in life on and off the court.
The A.T.R. Project supports local leaders who help show young players how to take their passion, drive and dedication for the game and apply those skills to other areas of their lives – including education and community service. Above The Rim is committed to helping provide these young players the tools and knowledge each one needs to reach their full potential. In the game of life, ATR is empowering the next generation to win.
Within the basketball communities in New York, Los Angeles and Seattle the A.T.R. Project chose three local leaders for this initiative. These are their stories.
